Commonly, on weekends or free days I like to wander around a city by the sea that is fairly close to me.
My extremely ballet inspired look consists of my blush pink t-shirt from Forever 21. This top is so soft and goes with so many different outfits. It’s easily one the most worn things in my wardrobe. I paired it with a little black skater skirt and added my moon necklace for some detail. But, my most favorite thing about this outfit is my new pink ballet flats with black ribbon. Honestly, they are probably the closest I could come to ballet shoes without actually wearing ballet shoes. I recently purchased these from ASOS and I am in love with them. The base of the show is a pinkish nude shade and they have black ribbons that wrap around the ankle, and delicately tie into a bow in the back. I found that the ribbon would fall down when I started walking after I had tied them, so I quickly fixed this by sticking some fashion tape on the ribbon and sticking that to my ankle. It ended up working extremely well and didn’t budge at all so A+ for problem solving.
While strolling along I discovered a little garden filled with flowers and fountains that I had never seen before. I have been to this place so many times but somehow I never noticed it, but I’m glad I did now. Other people had stumbled upon the garden and everyone seemed so happy and excited to walk through it. It was such a nice part of my day so I decided to share some photos and I hope you enjoy them!

I went into Sephora the other day to restock on some of my everyday makeup items, but then I saw this palette, which I’ve had my eye on for a while now, and picked it up as well. Let me tell you I most certainly do not regret it and I managed to get the last one they had!

First of all can we talk about how gorgeous this packaging is! It’s pink and glittery with reflective lettering, what more can you ask for. My only complaint is that there is no mirror.
This palette comes with 6 shades in a range of colors, which is why it seems to be great for so many different skin tones. My favorites are 143 (rose gold with bronze shimmer) and Kitty Kat (pink with platinum shimmer). To be honest I wasn’t sure how some of the shades would look on my skin because I’m quite tan, but all the shades seem to swatch well.

These highlighters have some serious pigmentation, which is why I love Anastasia highlighters so much. A little goes a long way, so they last a long time. All the shades are super shimmery and reflective, which is perfect because I’m not a ‘subtle highlight’ kind of person. I go all the way when it comes to highlighter haha. However if you’re not like me, you can use just a bit of product and a light hand to achieve a more subtle look.

Overall I would rate these highlighters very highly and definitely recommend purchasing them if you’re interested.

As you may know, the Royal Peach Palette went back in stock a few weeks ago and I managed to get my hands on one!

First of all the packaging is so beautiful and I love the rose gold, metallic lettering on the front. The palette also comes with a brush, which a lot of palettes do. In most palettes the brush that is included doesn’t work well and I never use them. However, this brush is actually really great quality, and I can definitely see myself using it when doing my makeup. It’s perfect for blending and defining the outer corner and crease.
Next I want to talk about the pigment of the eyeshadows. The colors that are very sparkly have good pigment and can be built up if you want. Some of the shimmery shadows are a bit dry, but if you apply them with a damp brush they would probably apply better and with more intensity, so I recommend trying that. The colors that have the best pigment in my opinion are the completely matte shades. The first time I used them I quickly realized how pigmented they were, as I had put WAY too much on my brush, whoops. The matte shades were very smooth and blendable, like they are in her other eyeshadow palettes. The shade I was most excited for was Royal, which is the royal blue color. I was kind of disappointed at the lack of pigment it had compared to all of the rest of the shadows, but it if you pack it onto the lid it can be built up. From looking at my own swatches and other people’s reviews it seems Royal tends to swatch poorly, but is fine when on the eye.

Just a note, I’ve heard some people complaining about the smell of the eyeshadows in this palette and how they smell like chemicals or something, but you can barely smell anything unless you hold the palette right up to your face, haha.

All the colors in this palette are so beautiful and I can’t wait to use them!! I would recommend getting this palette if you have the chance. What are your thoughts?

Hey!!! Since Valentine's day is so close I thought I’d make these cute little Valentine's day themed doughnuts.

Ingredients
For the Doughnuts:
⅔ cup plain flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
¼ cup milk
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
¼ teaspoon of vanilla
5 tbsp of softened butter
⅓ cup sugar
1 egg

For the Toppings:
Pink and white candy melts
Milk chocolate
Heart shaped sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350ºF
First, you want to take a large bowl and mix the butter and sugar until well combined and then add the egg and mix again.
Next, add your flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to a separate bowl and mix.
Then in another bowl (many bowls I know), add the vanilla and the milk. Now add the ⅓ of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix and then add half the wet ingredients and mix and so on. You should start with dry and end with dry.

Butter the doughnut pan so the doughnuts won’t stick. Put the dough into a piping bag and cut up the tip of the bag. Then, pipe the doughnut dough into the pan and set in the oven at 350ºF for about ten minutes or whenever you can stick a toothpick in them and it comes out clean.

For the toppings, aka the best part, melt your pink candy melts in one bowl, your white candy melts in another, and your chocolate in a third. Scoop the chocolate into a piping bag with a small circular tip, or just cut off a very small amount off the tip of the piping bag. When the candy has melted and your doughnuts have cooled, dip your doughnuts into either bowl. Take your piping bag and drizzle the chocolate over the doughnuts and place has many sprinkles as you want on. Put off to side until the candy melts and chocolate set.

Then, enjoy!

I'm really impressed with myself because I was able to make these so well, haha. They taste so good too! Cinnamon is perfect in everything honestly. Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy February!
With the start of the new month I decided to set some goals for myself. Work towards progress not perfection!

1.Colors
The first goal I had in mind is to use more colors. More colors in my outfits, in my notes for school, and just in general. I tend to wear a lot of black and steer towards only monochrome. Ya know, for the aesthetic haha. But it gets boring every once in awhile so I really want to incorporate more colors into my life and experiment with them. Especially pink. Pink is pretty great.

2.Stop Being Late/Getting up on Time
I'm always late to EVERYTHING. For some reason I like to leave at the very last second and think I'll be absolutely fine. However, that's not how it works at all. This also relates to the fact I'm very close to being late for school everyday, because I can never get up early enough. I do have a car and can drive myself, but I always end up sleeping in and then having to make my parents drive me. I'm striving for being more efficient and getting to places at least 5-10 minutes (depending on where I'm going) before I'm suppose to be there. I cannot tell you how much stress this will get rid of if I can pull it off.

3.Content
My final goal is to post more content here! I've pushed this aside for a while because I've become so busy with school, theatre, band, etc, but I really want to make time to post more on all my social media because I really love it. I want to push myself to make time for more of the things I really enjoy and not just the things I need to do.
On that note you can follow me everywhere here↓ haha

I figured writing my goals down would give me even more motivation to work towards them. What are your goals for the month?

My first favorite of the month is a little coffee place I found called Cafe Nerro. I saw it on instagram and decided I had to go. The inside of the shop is beautiful and it has some really nice features like how the walls are lined with books. The food is fantastic as well haha.

There’s also a book store very close to it so we decided to check it out and it was the best decision. The store was super cute and cozy inside. They had a ‘blind date with a book’ section and I decided I needed to buy one and ended up getting the ghost mystery story. It’s called White Tears and I haven’t gotten to start it yet, but the cover looks so cool.

My next favorite was Troye Sivan’s concert and it was amazing. He was so good (like always), but my favorite part was the fan project where people handed out rainbow sheets of paper to hold up during ‘Heaven’. I also got a super cute Blue Neighborhood pin because I am currently loving pins.

My last favorite of the month is Simply Christmas by Leslie Odom Jr. Yes this is a Christmas album but it came out in November so it still counts. I have been obsessed with this every song on it and constantly have it on repeat. I love how minimalistic it is and he is just such an amazing singer. My favorite is probably either ‘My Favorite Things’ or ‘Winter Song’, but I do love all of them.

And that’s it! I didn’t have very many this month but I really wanted to share these with you. It’s finally Christmas time though and I’m very excited.
Love,
Lexi

Eyeshadow is one of my most favorite things and you cannot get any better than fall toned eyeshadow. I mean, fall is the best season. So, when I saw this palette had so many gold and copper toned eyeshadows I knew I had to have it. This wonder is The Nubian palette by Juvia’s, and it’s my new favorite thing.

I’ve heard so many people raving about this palette and it looked so amazing. It has every warm neutral color you need from light to dark. There’s so many gold, copper, and burnt orange shades, but there’s also some really nice warm browns. I love the combination of mattes, shimmers, and really shimmery eyeshadows. It’s everything you could need.
I swatched a few of my favs and as you can see, the super shimmery ones have unreal pigment. I love to put a shimmery color on for a base, then a really shimmery one in the crease and then a matte color in the outer and inner corner. I prefer to put matte shades in the outer corner because I feel it gives more definition.

What do you think? Any fall eyeshadows I need to know about?
Love,
Lexi
